I have been learning Jiu Jitsu from Trey for 3 years. He is extremely skilled in BJJ/MMA and a fantastic communicator! His classes are a blast and very welcoming. Starting BJJ was something I procrastinated with for years before actually joining... I wish I didn’t wait so long! Starting to train with Trey/Glory (Marathon) was one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself!
Trey Odgen is a a life long martial artist who has dedicated himself to finding a systematized approach to mastering MMA. Whether your goal is to become a world class fighter/grappler or if you just want to find a fun outlet for physical activity, this is the place for you. It's not an intimidating environment like other gyms can be. Everyone is welcoming regardless of your skill level or experience. The facilities are spotless. I encourage everyone to try out a class here.
I’ve been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since November of 2010 and at Marathon since July of 2012. Throughout my time training at Marathon I’ve had several fantastic coaches and mentors to learn from. In November of 2016 Trey Ogden took over our Jiu Jitsu program. For me personally, Trey has been a great addition as a coach with a fantastic energy about him and is a true martial artist. His well thought through and practiced system of teaching and employing Jiu Jitsu is visible in all his students. His classes are full of material for all experience levels. If you’re looking to learn Jiu Jitsu from one of the best KC has to offer, come talk to Trey at Marathon in Overland Park!!
Glory OP (Marathon MMA) has a little something for everyone. The lead instructor is extremely knowledgeable and strives to create a welcoming environment that is inclusive to all levels of experience. Glory (Marathon MMA) has shown to be a solid fitness option for those seeking to compete or just stay in shape in a fun and dynamic manner. There is no pay to advance belt system here only hard work, I appreciate the experience brought by Trey as an active competitor in both MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I have trained with Trey for almost 10 years now and known Trey since he was a student in my classroom when he was a middle schooler. Since beginning training, Trey has always had the drive to be a great jiu jitsu practitioner and fighter. He trains that way, and always wants to learn more. As an instructor, he instills these same qualities in his students. This is a great school and instructor to learn from.

Glory (Marathon) is the perfect place to learn/train mixed martial arts. They also have other fitness programs besides mma. The facilities are always clean, and cleaned after every class. The instructors are great and wish to see their students excel. Trey is an awesome instructor, very welcoming, helpful, skilled and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Glory (Marathon)!
The skill and dedication level at Glory (Marathon) is amazing! The experience level and friendliness of all involved is very welcoming. You will not be disappointed in attending as an individual or family. Trey is very patient and good at explaining techniques and I should also say if you are interested in competition training he has the credentials to take your training to the next level.
